Job Description
Responsibilities
- Monitor entries posted in the entity’s ledger, ensure accuracy and relevance
- Close activities: Prepaid entries identification and amortisation, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, transfer pricing entries, if applicable, roll-forward statements for certain accounts, accruals from different stakeholders, etc.,
- Ensure all IA/SOX controls are in place and the testing process is managed on a periodic basis and assist in process walk-throughs when required
- Prepare and explain all schedules associated with statutory or tax audits
- Prepare flux analysis for key balance sheet accounts to identify and explain trends
- Assist in the transition of critical activities from outsourced service providers to COE/SSC
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders like Tax, Treasury, Payroll, HR and FP&A teams to ensure all financial/accounting activity is appropriately accounted and explained
- Assist in the compliance matters: direct and indirect tax returns, tax audits, statutory statistical requests, secretarial matters and other compliance items
- Ensure inter-company accounting and reconciliations and assist with tax provision, withholding taxes and advance tax calculations
- Act as the main point of contact to foreign subsidiaries for all financial matters, to identify and help resolve operational, financial and strategic issues that impact the company
Requirements
- 5+ years of Finance/Accounting reporting experience
- Experience handling international accounting operations from SSC/COE
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Enterprise systems experience required, preferably on Oracle
- Results-oriented with an ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organisation, and “roll-up the sleeves” in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
- Strong team player with the ability to complete projects and achieve objectives both independently and as part of the team
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Requires a high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgement and attention to detail in a fast-paced & rapidly changing environment
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
- CPA/CA is a plus
