Job Description

Purpose of your role

This role is an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of financial controllership and its role in FIL’s Financial Services business. The role will be primarily around managing client revenue billing, handling accounting and monthly reporting’s. The successful applicant will be exposed to IGAAP/UGAAP based accounting and would be required to demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm towards ad hoc queries and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in kick off meetings and and Onboard FILs Institutional and Workplace Investing clients from a revenue perspective Managing client revenue billing process for Management fees and Performance fees General Ledger accounting Perform regular month end accruals and reconciliation process Support reporting and analysis Preparation of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliations on Cadency and ensure timely clearance of open items Deal with Ad-Hoc queries from stakeholders and preparation of MIS Assist with various upcoming projects Prepare and publish KPI dashboard to stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications Required

Technical

  • Qualified (or part –qualified) CA / MBA Finance with up to 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Finance with exposure to accounting, data analytics and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills including knowledge of accounting principles;
  • Shows attention to detail and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed;
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; Proficient with Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of Essbase, HFM, and JDE would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience in O2C and AR roles would be an advantage.
  • Collaborative approach to develop, share, accept and implementation of ideas
  • Identify opportunities & implement solutions to improve process
