Job Description


 o    Understand the Credit Ecosystem – Tools & Applications, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, Systems required to perform the Credit Analysis of CDFI Borrowers

o    Independently prepare credit risk analysis reports on assigned clients (business & financial analysis and focusing on credit issues). Recommend rating grades based on analysis for the clients and facilities/exposures.

o    Build expertise in Commercial Real Estate and Community Development sectors in North America; as well as in analyzing Community Development Financial Institutions

o    Develop and maintain open communication channels with Underwriters and Credit Executives. Independently handle all calls/rating discussions with Underwriters and Credit Executives

o    Develop understanding of various techniques and methods of credit analysis, accounting treatments, financial adjustments etc.

o    Build strong knowledge of credit analysis for clients; regularly track sector and regulatory  developments on an on-going basis

 Qualifications: MBAs (with Finance specialization) / CA

o  4-7 years of experience in credit risk; experience in real estate sector and/or credit analysis of Financial Institutions is preferred

o  Strong understanding of corporate finance and financial statements, including ratio analysis, CAMEL model, and basic accounting principles

o  Good knowledge of various banking facilities/products (such as revolving lines of credit, counterparty lines, etc.) and their documentation

o  Attitude and aptitude to learn and enhance knowledge of credit risk analysis; and passion for real estate sector

o  Deadline orientation; strong attention to detail and high accuracy

o  Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (MS Word, Excel and Power Point) and ability to learn new tools, techniques and applications

o  Ability to work proactively & independently, as well as in a team environment

o  Strong & Effective communication skills – both verbal & written; and good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively present analysis and build strong relationships with stakeholders at various hierarchies
