Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive the team’s research and analysis on corporate finance cases across geographies 
  • Able to very quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies 
  • Take responsibility for assigning workstreams; monitor and balance workloads
  • Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools
  • Ensure timely, high quality, error-free research, analysis, and output produced by the analysts
  • Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations
  • Generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, valuation principles, ability to connect financial performance to valuations
  • Ability to think through the impact of any change in one financial metric across financial statements, valuations
  • Shows ability to make sense of financial data, such as reasons for high or low growth, margins, returns, multiples, leverage, and accompanying competitive dynamics
  • Demonstrates the ability to cross-link different business models and key industry dynamics, using key drivers/KPIs behind the operational and financial performance
  • Has hands-on experience in conducting company research, industry research, and investment-related research
  • Communicate data and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team
  • Effectively communicate with Bain case teams from any global office, global Practice Area affiliates, and third-party analytics vendors
  • Consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions; recognize team’s development needs and provide feedback toward constant improvement
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to COE analysts and associates
  • Participate in annual COE/BCC resource planning and development
  • Assist in Office Management roles (e.g. recruiting, marketing, training, etc.)
